Spend Your Day in Worship

Worship is so easily belittled. It is such a grand, life-consuming thing that gets squeezed down into an hour of singing on Sunday morning.

Praise is certainly part of worship. But it’s not the whole. Worship is the act of paying attention to and adoring something. To spend hours watching birds is worship. To dive into deep study of cars is to worship. When we fix our eyes/hearts on something and adore it, we are worshipping.

What do you worship on a daily basis?

The greatness of God demands our worship every day but we are so often content with giving him our attention and adoration on Sunday morning. There are a lot of other things in life that demand time and attention. And quite frankly, lots of things in life worth adoring.

That’s why it’s important to start our days in worship. Giving attention and adoration to God on the outset of our day helps to keep our hearts pointed to him. Then everything we do throughout the day is done out of a heart of worship for God.

Beautiful acts are done when our intention is worshipping God.
